what lives within

I’ve always been an artist at heart. When people ask what I wanted to be when I was little, I get the real privilege of answering honestly: an artist. That was the dream then, and in many ways, it still is now.

As a kid, I was often called shy. Later, I realized I wasn’t really shy so much as deeply introverted, and having language for that was freeing. All I knew was that when words didn’t come easily, I could still express myself by creating.

This part of my practice feels especially connected to that. It holds the quieter, more personal side of how I see the world, shaped by curiosity, observation, feeling, and change. The past few years have changed me a lot, and this work feels tied to that return. In many ways, it feels like coming back to life.
